I was finally home, had some time and the sun was shining so I went out for my 2nd patrol of zone 4. The water seemed a lot lower than the last time I patrolled, my paddle board fin often hit bottom or rocks. Besides the normal Lillies, Pondweed, and Spike Rush I also saw Pickerelweed, as well as Bladderwort. Part of my patrol included gathering trash. I cut and pulled a very long fishing line caught up in a tree. Tried to get as much of the line as possible but still left some hanging from the tree. I also found a pair of sunglasses submerged in the sand and left them on the nearby dock in case they belonged to the homeowner. I did gather a small amount of something that I wasn’t able to identify: a very short, submerged plant with leaves of 2 that form opposite of each other and has a burgundy tone to the stem. Still waiting for some expert help to identify this plant, will update when I know what it is!

Mystery plant, will update once it’s identified!
