Use Your IRA to Make a Tax-Smart Gift in 2024
If you are 70½-years-old and up, you can direct up to $105,000 each calendar year to charity from a qualified IRA using a Qualified Charitable Distribution (QCD). These distributions are income tax-free, and count toward your Required Minimum Distribution (RMD applicable if you are 73 and older). In addition to avoiding income tax, there is the added benefit of supporting CLCA with your gift.
CLCA depends on you and all of our neighbors to help support and fund our efforts to preserve Conway Lake in its pristine condition for generations to come. Please become a member and support our work.
Our annual membership dues are $50 but that covers less than 20% of our annual expenses. Our most substantial financial commitment is dedicated to sustaining the Lake Host Program, which plays a pivotal role in safeguarding Conway Lake. Any additional donation you are able to make is very much appreciated.
