Multiple varieties of Aquatic Moss

I made a patrol on September 19th from Zone 1 into Zone 15. In Zone 17, grid 560 I noticed a plant that I did not readily ID in very shallow water up next to the shoreline. It looked very much like an aquatic moss but did not fit the description of other mosses identified in Conway Lake, nor could I find photos of aquatic mosses that looked like this online. I sent a sample to Georgia Bunnell for a positive ID and she did confirm that it is an aquatic moss but could not give it a species name. Below are photos of the sample I collected in Zone 17 and another more typical aquatic moss from Zone 1. The leaflets in the newly identified aquatic moss are simple and string like, while the more typical aquatic moss leaflets are stiffer, more blade-like, and more tightly packed.
