Consider superimposing your patrol maps

Because I was short on time to be able to finish my first patrol on 7/20, I decided to superimpose the 1st and the 2nd tracking maps of my patrols which were only 2 days apart.  It helped me remember where I had gone on the first outing and what area was left to cover.  I still have some more area to cover but I can see very clearly where to go and so can Gitch, fellow patroller for zone 7, when she is ready to go out.

I have already reported on that first patrol. This second patrol (7/22) did not reveal anything new other than a growing quantity of bladderworts, a nice plot of Elodea in Dean’s cove (inside grid 196,) and a lot of filamentous algae floating about everywhere on the floor of  the zone. Along the reef (Maidens of the Mist) a good many of the rocks had the bright green Fresh water sponges attached to them. Over the years I have noticed a patch of Aquatic moss steadily expanding within grid 205 and it seems ever more so this year.
