Alternative Mapping App - MapNero

For those patrollers that want a free

alternative to Avenza, there is a new mapping app (MapNero) that allows you to import our GIS patrol map and track your progress on the lake and it’s free to use. I’ve tested it, and while the tracking is not quite as accurate as Avenza, it’s pretty good. See photos below. The image on the left shows tracking with MapNero and the photo on the right is with Avenza. Using it is not quite as straightforward as Avenza but you can track your patrol, drop pins, and hide previous tracks. Let me know if you try it or have any questions.
