Still new to finding and identifying submerged and floating aquatic plants, I ventured out on a borrowed paddle board from South Cove Launch on Saturday October 19 at ~ 1:15 PM in excellent autumn light, ~ 70 degrees and with clear water to see what I could see in Zone 11. Due to the clear water and excellent instruction from Maria in September, I logged the following: white water lily, yellow water lily, common bladderwort (Utricularia vulgaris)?, tape grass (Vallisneria americana), ribbon pondweed (P. epihydrous), and I believe there were the senescing water-marigold and native milfoils. I did, however, forget to turn on my tracking. So, there's that. Such fun, and I will persevere to improve.
