Zone 8 - first sweep!

Updated: Jul 20

I took advantage of a lull in the very breezy weekend Saturday afternoon to hop on the paddleboard and do my first sweep of Zone 8, Lower East Short & Rocky Reef. (I covered all zones EXCEPT for 1300, 1339-1340 out on the rocks!)

This is a generally a rocky shoreline and frankly not a lot of plant growth in the water. I did not have my patrol kit with me - had not expected to be able to go out - but did see several lovely stands of white water lily, tape-reed, and floating heart. Will post some photos next time.

Final check on this beautiful day.

Sept. 25 Zone 2, 3625, 3586, 3587, 3546 and 3547. All is good, could not do the others as water level low can't get near the shore. Does anyone know what the schedule is for lowering the level and how
