Paddled along the shore of Dolloff Cove in Zone 1 (forgot to turn on Avenza to map so I can’t show my route) and while a lot of the usual aquatic plants have not quite taken off in abundance, they are showing up. Besides yellow water lilies and a lot of grassy spike rush and filamentous green algae, I spotted common bladderwort, waterweed (native elodea), water marigold, and ribbon pondweed. Now is a good time to start taking note of what’s growing below the surface.
