Sept 18th was picture perfect and the lake’s surface like glass. Although the preponderance of particles floating in the still water made it difficult to see through to the lake’s floor beyond about 10 ft.
Throughout the patrol I found nothing unusual although I was finding more of the Aquatic moss spreading south beyond the cove just south of Ship Island where it is so established and thick. Also aware of more pronounced clusters of Native Elodea scattered along the length of my patrol. The patrol ended with a surprise I had never seen before: a small clump of Bladderwort enveloped around a small submerge branch (near grid 446.) Quite pretty in the sunshine.
I plan to pick up where I left off at Mayo Point, finish 13 and move into the west side of 9.
For some reason I could not make a copy of the Avenza map to track the patrol, but I figured out an alternative. Not the best but it helps.
