Floating Bladderwort

Yesterday (7/20/24), Bill and I particpated in the annual Loon Census on the Lake. Our assigned area included Pentacook so we decided to do some AIS patrolling while motoring slowly looking for loons. We also decided to give Don's tracking tool a try. It worked great and it was fun to see the areas we covered (see photo below). We saw nothing unusual until we neared the end of Pentacook (grids 415 and 416) where we saw quite a few Floating Bladderworts (see photo below). It was even more striking than I had anticipated. So, it was a beautiful morning with a nice aquatic species sighting and one adult loon. For you loon watchers, the total on the lake for the Census was 10 adults.
