September 1, 2025. It was a nice, calm, sunny morning for a paddle in Paige Brook. With the cooler temperatures and/or shorter days the bladderwort is dying back, creating dense mats near the bottom. Observed the aquatic vegetation that I normally see in Paige Brook including a new patch of Water Marigold and another area with Water Weed (Elodea). Ran into Thia as I was finishing my patrol and she too was checking out the vegetation so we had a good chat about what we both had seen recently. Nice to have another set of eyes especially when there is so much aquatic growth.
