Beautiful day for a Paddle - Zones 1, 17, and 16.

It was a beautiful calm, sunny day, perfect for a long patrol from the south end of Zone 1, through Zone 17, and down through the northern half of Zone 16. Nothing suspicious was found but I found another bryozan colony to go along with the one found by Bette Jacques this week in the Channel. Another indicator of clean lake water. See the photo below.


Lots of rocky shoreline with sparse vegetation but did see a very large patch of Water Marigold in the cove adjacent to Walker Island. This looks very similar to the invasive Fanwort so I took a closer look to rule it out.
