Saturday Sweep in Paige Brook
I have the benefit of being somewhat sheltered from wind in my patrol zone. On Saturday, Sept 12 I took advantage of the suns angle. I noted ‘die-back’ and even young growth of species. I focused on location of certain plants and clipped a few samples.

No lack of diversity in Paige Brook!
Saturday morning was perfect for a good look around Paige Brook. I’ve always taken note of the plant life and wildlife and now enjoy being able to identify it! I tend to fill my photo library on any adventure so I’ll include a couple here. Nothing suspicious and plenty of diversity. Broadleaf Arrowhead, Cottongrass, algae, Bladderwort varieties and a heron.

Paige Brook 2
Partial Channel
July 24 and wind is still a hinderance. I patrolled Paige Brook for the second time this season. First patrol was in June. All the usual suspects (not suspicious) and more of it since June patrol. Pickerelweed, bur-reed, Pipewort. White, pink and yellow waterlily, floating heart. Bladderwort, native naiad, pondweed, native milfoil and several grasses. Patrolled the channel while conditions were favorable from Gloria’s and around the shore toward boat launch to other shore back to Paige Brook....
